Startup Brainstorming Leads to Big Ideas

Post date: November 24, 2008

Startupweekend.com is an exciting idea in the new world of online services. The idea is to gather top programmers, designers, idea guys and the likes together over a weekend and brainstorm their way to selecting a winning idea and creating a startup company over the weekend. The website decscribes themselves as

What is Startup Weekend you ask? Startup Weekend is a intense 54 hour event bringing together brilliant tech minds (developers, designers, marketers, ect.) together to create a company (or as many as the community wants) from concept to launch!

The company has already produced some very promising ideas like TwitPay.me, CloseBy.me, Givingti.me

This type of collaboration made to start to think about how the concept could be moved into Internet Marketing.  How about marketing leaders (or just go getters) come together to create rich products for the big thing in this space.

Just discovered a Twitter tweet from Copyblogger, great post about this article he found about are you left vs right brained.  Although is a simplictic test, it blew me away how I cannot see lady in the picture spinning counter-clockwise at all.  I can only see her spinning clockwise.  Check out the details on are you left or right brained

I was very surprised to find out I’m right brained.  Considering the amount of logical analytical things I do every day.  But this better explains why I feel so right playing the guitar or piano.  Very interesting little test go check it out.

Do you see this woman spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise?

Christmas iPhone gift? Maybe you should wait.

iPhones are going to be sold in Walmart start December 28th.  ZDNet  reports Walmart and Apple have reached an agreement to begin carrying the iPhone.  The article mentions that there is no indication on price, but…

Anyone else see a big price drop coming?  I was just about to get a iPhone 3g sometime this month, but now I’m going to wait until after the first of the year to see where this all goes.  If a lot of people are like me, this could proove to be a costly timing for this announcement.

Good post on “Why Apple Won’t Allow Flash on The iPhone” from Brian Chen.  Interesting problem for Apple and I can see both sides of the issue.   What would you do if you were making the decision at Apple?
